Join us on Saturday 13th May in our Whitley Bay shop with Sallie from Hyem Homeware ..
Sallie is a self-taught ceramicist and started Hyem around a year ago. She’s a proud northern gal and a lover of Scandinavian style - Hyem blends her two loves together.
Sallie is bringing along a fresh collection of ceramics (the pieces will have only came out of the kiln 48 hours before) along with her signature long handled mugs, candle holders and trinket dishes. We can’t wait!
Sallie started the brand in 2022, after finding herself in a creative funk. After spending so much time online during work and in her spare time. She was desperate to do something more creative and make something tactile, instead of just digital.
Sallie fell into pottery after watching several hours of YouTube, and a lot of online research later, placed an order for a bag of clay and some basic pottery equipment… and Hyem Homeware was born!

Sallie loves the North East and wanted the brand to embody her home town of Sunderland. She loves shooting down at the beaches - the sand and sea make the most beautiful backdrop to the ceramic pieces.
