It’s our November Give-Back Friday on Friday 24th November (which also happens to be Black Friday) and we’re donating 10% of our daily sales in our Whitley Bay shop and on Bellwoods Online Store to Children North East.
Children North East deliver services, support and initiatives that provide a platform for children, young people and families to work through issues, take action and provide them with the tools to reach their full potential.
These include therapeutic services, mental health support, youth work, family support, domestic abuse services, community-based support, consultations with young people and Poverty Proofing. Alongside this, they also campaign on issues affecting babies, children and young people, and influence social policy and system change to address obstacles preventing babies, children and young people growing up happy and healthy.
Here are some examples of how our donation (and really it’s your donation because it’s your money we're donating) could support Children in the North East ..
A gift of £20 could help to keep a baby safe through provision of a home safety kit.
A gift of £25 could help a young person build confidence through peer mentoring.
A gift of £50 could help a parent support their child's mental health through attending the Ways to Wellbeing programme.
