Join us on Saturday 11th February in our Whitley Bay shop with Maria from Northern Sky Flowers.
If you have visited our Park View shop you may have seen our beautiful dried bouquets already. With Valentine's Day approaching, we thought it would be a lovely idea to welcome Maria, who grows, dries and makes our bouquets, to the shop with a larger selection of her flowers.
Northern Sky Flowers is a studio-based (well, truthfully, shed-based) florist based in Newcastle upon Tyne, England.
Maria works part-time for a local charity and, with every leftover moment, she’s growing top-notch cut flowers and making garden-style flowers.
Why do we stock Northern Sky Flowers?
Too often, floristry has a negative impact on the environment - air miles, pesticides, excessive energy consumption, and nasty plastics.
Northern Sky Flowers provide bouquets made with flowers that enhance and enrich their environment, providing food and habitat to local wildlife, not killing them with harmful chemicals.
Maria's growing is led by the seasons, offering fresh bouquets when flowers are in bloom in the UK, and naturally dried arrangements during winter.
We hope you can join us on 11th February, and if you'd like to see some images of our current floral arrangements in store, do get in touch.
