Emma from your favourite local cleanser brand, Minimum, is joining us for a pop up on Saturday 9th September in our Whitley Bay shop. This event will be perfect if you've used Minimum Skincare previously and want to meet Emma, or to ask her advice or have questions about her products and your skin before trying a balm.
Minimum Skincare was created because Emma couldn't find a product already on the market that worked for her skin. Armed with her PhD in chemistry, she experimented using simple ingredients to create products tested on her own skin. Her friends, including Nathalie, helped out by acting as guinea pigs too!
The ethos of Minimum goes deeper than just making a good cleanser. Every day we are bombarded with slick advertising campaigns for a range of cosmetic products that, quite frankly, you don’t need and are not worth the price tag. Minimum stands against the exploitation of body insecurities to make cash.
Emma doesn't claim to work miracles, but does want to make products that work using minimal ingredients. She explains why each ingredient was chosen and what they do, and believes that a good basic skincare regime and a good, daily SPF will leave you with happy skin.
As well as being kind to skin, Minimum is kind to the planet and suitable for everyone, regardless of age or gender. It's just good stuff.
We're big fans of the minimum products ourselves and use them on a daily basis - Jodie loves the Essential Body Balm, Katie uses the Restoring Face Oil, and Nathalie carries a tin of Multi Balm everywhere. The Essential Cleansing Balm has a cult following among our customers, and the Restoring Face Oil is also a firm favourite.
Emma will be bringing the full range of her products so make sure you head down if you're an existing Minimum fan or if you're on the hunt for skincare that actually works. Emma will be with us on Saturday between 10am and 5pm - the perfect transitional time of the year to add some extra moisture and hydration to your skin.
